The London-native has been making a name for herself through an extensive schedule of releases, the most notable being her recent Armada Subject debut ‘The Music’. It charted at No. 5 on Beatport’s overall chart, amassing 2.8M Spotify streams in the process.
Achievements such as these have become standard practice for Saffron. Danny Howard regularly supports her music on Radio 1; Mistajam introduced her as one of London’s “finest female DJs”; and her own imprint and event series, 7 Pot Primo, has hosted sell-out showcases in some of the Capital’s leading venues, including E1 and Werkhaus.
As the event angle grows, so too does the label side of the project. Saffron’s own Into The Future release was met by widespread industry acclaim, with Sorley’s remix featuring on Danny Howard’s Radio 1 show. Achievements such as these have helped cement her reputation as one of the industry’s fastest-rising talents.
It goes to show in her performances: We Are Festival, Mexico; Higher by Solardo, Croatia; Victoria Warehouse, Manchester; and Printworks, London. These are just a few highlights from an ever-growing tour schedule that continues to develop year on year.
Given Saffron’s upbringing, such feats should come as no surprise. Her early days were full of musical influence, spurred on by her father’s vinyl collection. She began mixing on his Technics as a toddler, forging a love of house that still prevails to this day.
It was there that the seeds were sown, growing her passion for the scene into what it is today. She’s involved in it wholeheartedly, immersing herself in all it has to offer: from promoting to producing; from DJing to A&R, showcasing an innate love for the industry she now calls home.
So what does the future have in store? More of the same to put it simply
